"Mix-mix" in Filipino: a tall glass layered with sweet beans, jellies, fruit, and leche flan, topped with shaved ice, evaporated milk, and ube ice cream — meant to be stirred together before eating.

Ingredients
- 1 cup finely shaved ice
- 2 tbsp sweetened red mung beans (or adzuki beans)
- 2 tbsp sweetened white beans
- 2 tbsp nata de coco (coconut jelly)
- 2 tbsp macapuno (sweet coconut strings)
- 2 tbsp sweetened jackfruit, sliced
- 2 tbsp sweetened plantain (minatamis na saging)
- 1 slice leche flan
- 1/4 cup evaporated milk
- 1 scoop ube (purple yam) ice cream
- 1 tbsp ube halaya (purple yam jam), optional
Steps
- Chill tall glasses in the freezer for about 10 minutes before assembling.
- Layer the sweetened beans, nata de coco, macapuno, jackfruit, and plantain into the bottom of each glass.
- Add the leche flan slice and a spoonful of ube halaya if using.
- Pile finely shaved ice generously on top, mounding it above the rim of the glass.
- Drizzle the evaporated milk over the shaved ice.
- Top with a scoop of ube ice cream and serve immediately with a long spoon, mixing everything together before eating.
